1. Why personal training?
No one is born knowing how to workout, let alone what exercises are best for them. I’m a Personal Trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. My background in research, mental health, pain management, as well as my own experiences, have made me the health professional that I am, making workouts as unique as you. My methods put the “personal” in “personal training”.
2. What makes Aeon different? Why not just use a workout I found online?
Tik-Tok and Instagram workouts are something to be avoided. While health professionals online usually know what they’re talking about, you may be getting advice from someone who ISN’T. Also, not all movements/exercises are good for everyone. It may be as simple as “you’re simply not at the right strength level to be performing this movement”, sometimes the problems run MUCH deeper.
Practically everyone has muscle imbalances, and everyone’s are different, and vary in degree. Doing exercises you already know how to do with muscle imbalances lead to injury. That’s why the first session with me always starts with thorough static and dynamic postural assessments. Then we introduce exercises to combat those imbalances.
I utilize the OTP model founded by the National Academy of Sports Medicine to start with the foundations and then build up endurance, strength, and max power.
